These terms apply to your use of the Roam Balkan website and to the enquiries you send through it. By using the site you accept them, so please read them before you enquire.
About this website
We publish tour descriptions, travel stories and practical information about Albania and the Balkans. We work to keep it accurate and up to date, but opening hours, road conditions and local services change, so please check anything important before you travel.
Tours and prices
Prices are per person and in euros unless the tour page says otherwise. A price shown as "from" is the lowest price for that tour; your final price depends on your dates, group size and choices. Itineraries, prices and availability may change until we confirm your booking in writing.
Enquiries and bookings
Sending an enquiry does not create a booking and does not commit you to anything. We reply by email with availability and a proposal. A booking exists only once we confirm it to you in writing. That confirmation sets out the price, what is included, and the payment and cancellation terms for your tour. Those terms apply to your booking together with these ones, and where the two differ, the booking confirmation prevails.
Your responsibilities as a traveller
You are responsible for holding a valid passport and any visa you need, for following local laws and the reasonable instructions of your guide, and for telling us before you book about any health or mobility needs that could affect your trip. We strongly recommend travel insurance that covers cancellation, medical care and repatriation.
Changes and events beyond our control
Weather, road closures, strikes and similar events can make part of a tour unsafe or impossible. When that happens we may change the route, timing or activities, and we will offer a reasonable alternative wherever we can. We are not responsible for delays or losses caused by events outside our reasonable control.
Liability
We take care in planning and running our tours. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, or for services you arrange directly with other providers. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot legally be limited, or any rights you have as a consumer.
Content on this site
The text and photographs on this site belong to Roam Balkan or are used with permission. You are welcome to link to our pages and to quote short extracts with a link back, but please ask us before using our content or photos in any other way. Links to other websites are provided for convenience, and we are not responsible for their content.
Privacy
How we handle the personal information you send us is explained in our Privacy Policy.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Albania. If a dispute arises, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. This does not affect any right you have under consumer law to bring a claim in the country where you live.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on the day you book applies to your booking.
